Part 2

Knowing when to end an article is far more important than most writers realize. You should give as much thought to choosing your last sentence as you did to your first. Well, almost as much.
Like the minister’s sermon that builds to a series of perfect conclusions that never conclude, an article that doesn’t stop where it should stop becomes a drag and therefore a failure.

讀到這句話的時候很是被警醒,自己寫論文常?;ㄙM力氣在邏輯的推演、論據(jù)的引用,同時盡可能地把句子寫得清楚明白,但是往往沒有把結(jié)論說清楚。以為順理成章能完成,實際上則是問題意識不夠明確,導(dǎo)致行文至最后,給人“戛然而止”“意猶未盡”的感覺。
架構(gòu)一篇好文章,要注意的細(xì)節(jié)很多,顧此失彼尚可原諒,最核心的重點則缺一不可。
