這周的翻譯思路拆解選了一篇關(guān)于TikTok, WeChat在海外市場遭阻擊的社評。素材大約四五百字。虛心聽取了后臺小朋友的建議，拆成幾篇文章，隔日發(fā)送，這樣方便大家定期消化，不囤積。
同時，每篇推送的末尾會提前給出下一篇思路拆解的素材，大家可以在看完這篇拆解之后，趁熱打鐵，提前準(zhǔn)備好譯文。
今天拆解的兩句話是這樣的：
“清潔網(wǎng)絡(luò)”計劃再度暴露了美國政客的虛偽和雙重標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。無論是蓬佩奧指責(zé)微信、TikTok等手機移動應(yīng)用“侵犯美國人民的個人隱私”，還是阿里巴巴、百度等中國云服務(wù)提供商“利用云技術(shù)竊取美國知識產(chǎn)權(quán)”，抑或是華為等企業(yè)“通過鋪設(shè)海底電纜從而接入美國網(wǎng)絡(luò)竊取機密”，都是毫無根據(jù)的政治操弄和抹黑。
先看第一句：
“清潔網(wǎng)絡(luò)”計劃再度暴露了美國政客的虛偽和雙重標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
很短，直接摳詞了。
“清潔網(wǎng)絡(luò)”計劃，看到引號，說明是直譯過來的，需要通過關(guān)鍵詞查證外網(wǎng)的用法，直接搜the United States/America + clean + China等，馬上看到clean network這樣的表述。后面可以搭配plan, initiative, program等詞。
“雙重標(biāo)準(zhǔn)”一詞在外交部發(fā)言人的答記者問中經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)，比如：
……暴露出美方所謂“新聞自由”的虛偽性，是赤裸裸的“雙重標(biāo)準(zhǔn)”和“霸權(quán)欺凌”。
... exposed its hypocrisy in so-called freedom of the press, and is nothing short of double standards and hegemonic bullying.
還有一個詞，two-faced，從構(gòu)詞上就可以猜到它的詞義“兩面派的”，一般修飾人，比如：
這句譯文比較簡單：
“清潔網(wǎng)絡(luò)”計劃（主語）再度暴露了（謂語）美國政客的虛偽和雙重標(biāo)準(zhǔn)（賓語）。
The so-called “clean network” initiative again exposes the hypocrisy and double standards of U.S. politicians.
第二句
無論是蓬佩奧指責(zé)微信、TikTok等手機移動應(yīng)用“侵犯美國人民的個人隱私”，還是阿里巴巴、百度等中國云服務(wù)提供商“利用云技術(shù)竊取美國知識產(chǎn)權(quán)”，抑或是華為等企業(yè)“通過鋪設(shè)海底電纜從而接入美國網(wǎng)絡(luò)竊取機密”，都是毫無根據(jù)的政治操弄和抹黑。
這句很長，又有很多引號，同樣想到這些是從這個政客說的話中直譯過來的，是引用，所以翻譯之前要先去查證人家原來是怎么說的。
蓬佩奧這家伙的名字Mike Pompeo，然后去搜索，比如：
侵犯美國人民的個人隱私：Pompeo + WeChat + TikTok + privacy，可能就會找到路透社的新聞：
Pompeo claimed the practices of the Chinese tech companies currently in the administration’s sights, including TikTok and WeChat, pose “true privacy issues for the American people.”
不過true privacy issues for the American people這句表述和中文里的“侵犯美國人民的個人隱私”倒不是嚴(yán)格對應(yīng)，實在找不到這句原話，就自己翻譯吧，比如：
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo accused apps like WeChat and TikTok of “accessing personal information on American citizens”;
還是阿里巴巴、百度等中國云服務(wù)提供商“利用云技術(shù)竊取美國知識產(chǎn)權(quán)”，這也是蓬佩奧的指控，前句用了accuse sb. Of sth.的句型，這里可以不用換結(jié)構(gòu)，直接續(xù)上：
(accused) Chinese cloud service providers, e.g. Alibaba and Baidu, of ...
“利用云技術(shù)竊取美國知識產(chǎn)權(quán)”，又看到引號，我們試試看能不能找到原話吧。搜索Pompeo + Alibaba + intellectual property，瞅瞅：
Secretary of State Michael Pompeo blames China for stealing U.S. intellectual property
這句雖然不是直接引語，但sb. Blame sb. For doing sth.的結(jié)構(gòu)是可以借鑒的，與accuse sb. Of sth.同義。
“We’re protecting Americans’ most sensitive personal information and our businesses’ most valuable intellectual property — including Covid vaccine research — from being accessed on cloud-based systems” run by Chinese companies such as Alibaba, Tencent and others, said Pompeo.這句新聞可以借用，比如我們可以寫：
He also claimed Americans’?intellectual property was accessed on cloud-based systems run by Chinese companies such as Alibaba and Baidu.
另起一句，就不和前句共享accuse sb. Of sth.的句式了。
找不到完全對應(yīng)的原話，就放棄吧，自譯：
(Pompeo accused) Chinese cloud service providers like Alibaba and Baidu of “stealing American intellectual property with their cloud-based systems”;
抑或是華為等企業(yè)“通過鋪設(shè)海底電纜從而接入美國網(wǎng)絡(luò)竊取機密”，搬運平行文本之心不死，好吧，繼續(xù)嘗試搜索原話，輸入Pompeo + Huawei + cables + undersea，可以看到：
In another initiative, Pompeo said the U.S. will seek to ensure China can’t harvest data transmitted via undersea cable, especially that laid down by Huawei subsidiary Huawei Marine.
仿寫一下：

還有華盛頓郵報的這句新聞：

組合一下上面三個句子：

上述三個句子也可以各自組個完整句，比如：
“Apps like TikTok, WeChat and others are significant threats to the personal data of American citizens”, stated Mike Pompeo. He claimed that the program is to “protect…intellectual property…from being accessed on cloud-based systems run by companies such as Alibaba, Baidu”, and “to ensure the undersea cables connecting the?country to the global internet are not subverted for intelligence gathering”.
都是毫無根據(jù)的政治操弄和抹黑。
前面那幾句太長了，不管用的是accuse A of sth, B of sth, and C of sth.的結(jié)構(gòu)，還是用三個完整句結(jié)構(gòu)，這句都要另起一句，記得補充主語：（這些）都是……
毫無根據(jù)的，unfounded, groundless都可以。
“政治操弄”，political manipulation，操弄就是控制嘛；
“抹黑”的選詞也很多，比如tarnish, taint, smear, discredit。不過這里選用名詞比較方便組句：
All this, however, is unfounded political manipulation and smear.

相反，恰恰是美國利用技術(shù)霸權(quán)將竊聽和監(jiān)控的觸角伸向包括盟友在內(nèi)的世界各國。這樣一個滿身污點的“黑客帝國”，有什么資格談建立“清潔網(wǎng)絡(luò)”？
不惜犧牲美國企業(yè)利益、不惜透支美國國際信譽，美國政客強推“清潔網(wǎng)絡(luò)”計劃背后，說到底不過是為了政治私利。
