在創(chuàng)作《Fight Song》的過(guò)程中，瑞秋·普拉滕處于一個(gè)低谷期[4]。在長(zhǎng)時(shí)間工作但并未得到相應(yīng)的回報(bào)后，她認(rèn)為她需要開(kāi)始考慮其它的事情，于是便有了歌曲的創(chuàng)作靈感。而通過(guò)創(chuàng)作這首歌曲，她做出了不放棄她自己的決定[5]。2013年11月，瑞秋·普拉滕同她的朋友兼合作者、曲作者戴夫·巴塞特在馬里布的錄音室寫(xiě)下了《Fight Song》的早期版本，隨后一年多的時(shí)間內(nèi)制作出了最終的成品。在創(chuàng)作過(guò)程中，她共寫(xiě)下了五至六種不同的主歌及四種不同的橋段[6
