2. 體會這個詞 （進階篇）

我們都熟悉“home”的意思是“家”，be home to 常用來表示“某人或某物的所在地”，“某地擁有”，比如“中國有十四億人”就可以說成“China is home to 1.4 billion people”。home 的這種用法是一個常見的、經(jīng)常被忽略的好用表達。

當我們介紹一個地區(qū)的特色時，就可以用到 be home to。注意這里的 home 不可數(shù)，只能用單數(shù)形式。比如中國的黑龍江省大慶市是中國的石油之城，我們介紹的時候就可以說：

Daqing is home to China’s largest oil reserves.

北京有 7 處歷史文化遺產(chǎn)入選聯(lián)合國教科文組織頒布的“世界文化遺產(chǎn)名錄”，我們就可以說：
