Hi, good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. It's my great honor to make a speech in front of you. First,I have one question for our members, why do you join Toastmasters? For developing communication skills or leadership skills?

【Thank you for your sharing,we really have something in common...】

What's the reason for me to join Toastmasters?

There are two reasons.

First,Toastmasters is a group like a sunflower, which always grows up towards sunshine. For me, sun means life,it also means warm. Haizi says :"I have three happinesses:? Poetry, Throne and Sun". My dear friends, I also have three happinesses, they are English Teacher, Drawing and Sun. Communication is a necessary skill in both English and Drawing.

On the other hand, I have been touched deeply by our Club Mission"We provide a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth." Ma Yun says"The third-class organization depends on common rules, the second-class organization depends on common benefits, the first-class organization depends on common beliefs, and the top organization can do things by following their true? feelings. This is my second reason.

Before joining our club, for me Toastmasters is only a name just like a hundred thousand other names. And I have no need of you.And you have no need of me,either. Now I am standing here to have a walk with all of you. Then we'll need each other along our road. You'll be the only person in the world for me.I'll be the only person in the world for you. And I will do my best to be a sunflower like Toastmasters. So What should I do in each of the following days?

The Words from Thatcher,Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990, have made a deep impression on me:

Watch your thoughts, for they become words.

Watch your words, for they become actions.

Watch your actions, for they become habits.

Watch your habits, for they become character.

Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

Keep moving on, to be a better person.
