用平時(shí)大家習(xí)慣用作名詞的詞匯當(dāng)動(dòng)詞,是一種比較冷僻的寫作手段。正因?yàn)槠淅淦В坏┏霈F(xiàn)就有吸睛之奇效:
1. He spooned the food into my appreciative oral cavity.
“spoon”(湯勺)用作動(dòng)詞,變成“用湯勺喂”的意思,言簡(jiǎn)意賅。
(他用湯勺把食物送進(jìn)我嗷嗷待哺的口中,)
2. She doesn't cotton to his undeniably abrasive manner.
“cotton”(棉花)用作動(dòng)詞,變成“對(duì)...有好感”的意思,真是柳暗花明又一村。

3. I always bottomed out after a couple hundred pages.
