《奧莉薇》中的主人公奧莉微多才多藝，鬼靈精怪，對任何事情都有自己的想法。
奧莉薇是一只小豬，她擅長很多事情，要說最拿手的一件事就是把人累昏，甚至常常把自己也累昏！
她會涂媽媽的口紅、穿上媽媽的高跟鞋照鏡子，還會嚇弟弟。
要是出門，她還會把所有的衣服都拿出來穿一遍。
晴天媽媽會帶她去海邊，她會把自己曬成一條大熱狗；
而下雨天，她則會去參觀博物館。她喜歡直直走到德加的《芭蕾排演》面前，那是她最喜歡的一幅畫，她幻想自己有一天也能成為一名芭蕾舞演員。
不過有一張畫她老是搞不懂，就是 波拉克 的《秋天的韻律30號》，她對媽媽說，這樣的畫，我大概只要五分鐘，就可以畫一幅一模一樣的。
回到家里，她就真的在墻上畫了起來。
奧莉薇是一個活潑又有自己想法的小孩子，和我們所有的小孩子都一樣，不過她大概也知道自己給別人添的麻煩和自己的小歡樂，希望奧莉薇繼續(xù)歡樂的生活。她會越來越懂事的，是吧！

This is Olivia.She is good at lots of things.
這是奧莉薇，她會很多東西哦！
She is very good at wearing people out.
她最拿手的一件事就是把人累昏。
She even wears herself out.
她甚至常常把自己也累昏。
Olivia has a little brother named Ian.
He's always copying.
奧莉薇的弟弟叫做小恩，
他最愛學(xué)奧莉薇了！
Sometimes Ian just won't leave her alone,so Olivia has to be firm.
小恩一天到晚跟著奧莉薇團(tuán)團(tuán)轉(zhuǎn)，奧莉薇有時不得不對他“嚴(yán)厲”點兒。
Olivia lives with her mother, her father, her brother,her dog, Perry.and Edwin, the cat.
奧莉薇和爸爸、媽媽、弟弟小恩和老狗米花住在一起，還有小貓可樂。
In the morning, after she gets up, and moves the cat,and brushes her teeth, and combs her ears,and moves the cat.
每天早上，奧莉薇起床后要先把可樂移開，等刷完牙，梳理好耳朵后，再把可樂抱回去。
Olivia gets dressed.She has to try on everything.
奧莉薇出門前，一定會把每一件衣服都拿出來穿穿看。
On sunny days, Olivia likes to go to the beach.She feels it's important to come prepared.
晴天時，奧莉薇喜歡去海邊玩。她覺得裝備齊全最重要。
Last summer when Olivia was little,her mother showed her how to make sand castles.
去年夏天，奧莉薇還很小，媽媽教她在沙灘上堆沙堡。
She got pretty good.
她做得很棒！
Sometimes Olivia likes to bask in the sun.When her mother sees that she's had enough,they go home.
奧莉薇也喜歡躺在沙灘上曬太陽，當(dāng)媽媽覺得她曬得像條大熱狗時，就會喊她和弟弟回家。
Every day Olivia is supposed to take a nap,"It's time for your you-know-what,"her mother says.
奧莉薇每天都必須睡午覺。媽媽會進(jìn)來提醒奧莉薇：“你知道什么時候到了吧！”
Of course Olivia's not at all sleepy.
奧莉薇當(dāng)然一點兒也不想睡覺。
On rainy days, Olivia likes to go the museum.She heads straight for her favorite picture.
下雨天時，奧莉薇會去參觀美術(shù)館。她喜歡直接走到她最喜愛的畫前面。
Olivia looks at it for a long time.What could she be thinking?
奧莉薇總是在這張面前一站就是很長時間。你猜她在想什么呢？
But there is one painting Olivia just doesn't get.
"I could do that in about five minutes,"she says to her mother.
不過有一張畫老是讓奧莉薇搞不懂。她跟媽媽說：“我只要五分鐘就可以畫一張一模一樣的?！?/p>
As soon as she gets home she gives it a try.
奧莉薇回家后，馬上就畫了一幅。
Time out.
喔哦——時間差不多了！
After a nice bath,and a nice dinner,it's time for bed.
奧莉薇舒舒服服地泡了個澡，美美地吃了頓晚餐，然后睡覺時間就到了。
But of course Olivia's not at all sleepy."Only five books tonight, Mommy,"she says.

"No, Olivia, just one.""How about four?""Two.""Three.""Oh, all right, three.But that's it!"
“不行，只能講一本?！?/p>
“四本啦！”“兩本?！?/p>
“三本好不好？”“唉，好吧，只能三本哦！”
When they've finished reading. Olivia's mother gives her a kiss and says, "You know, you really wear me out.
But I love you anyway."And Olivia gives her a kiss back and says, "I love you anyway too."
故事講完時，媽媽給奧莉薇一個晚安親親：“小可愛，你知道你快把我累昏了嗎？不過媽媽還是好愛你?！?/p>
奧莉薇也給媽媽一個好大的晚安親親，然后說：“我也好愛你哦?！?/p>
