This happened many summers ago. There was a young flower in the desert where all was dry and sad looking.

這個(gè)故事發(fā)生在很久以前的一個(gè)夏天。 遍地干旱、滿目悲涼的沙漠中有株幼小的花苗。

It was growing by itself, enjoying every day, and saying to the sun, “When shall I be grown up?” And the sun would say, “Be patient. Each time I touch you, you grow a little.”

她獨(dú)自生長著，享受著每一天。她問太陽：“我什么時(shí)候才能長大呢？” 太陽對她說：“你得有耐心。每當(dāng)我的光芒照到你身上，你都會長大一點(diǎn)?！?/p>

And she was so pleased. Because she would have a chance to bring beauty to this corner of sand. And this is all she wanted to do：bring a little bit of beauty to this world.

小花苗聽了很高興，因?yàn)檫@樣她就有機(jī)會讓這個(gè)沙漠的角落變得美麗些。 這就是她想要做的：為這個(gè)世界帶來一點(diǎn)美麗。

One day the hunter came by—and stepped onher. She was going to die and she felt so sad. Not because she was dying but because she would not have a chance to bring a little bit of beauty to this corner of the desert.

一天，一個(gè)獵人經(jīng)過的時(shí)候踩到了她。 小花苗奄奄一息，悲傷不已：不是因?yàn)樽约嚎焖懒?，而是因?yàn)樗龥]有機(jī)會給這個(gè)沙漠的角落增添一抹亮色。

The great spirit saw her, and was listening. Indeed, he said she should be living. And he reached down and touched her and gave her life.

偉大的神靈看到了她，聽到了她的心聲，說她應(yīng)該活下去。于是他伸出手，輕觸小花苗，讓她又活了過來。

And she grew up to be a beautiful flower and this corner of the desert became so beautiful because of her.

后來，小花苗終于開出了美麗的花。這沙漠的一角也因她變得美麗起來。

善良的內(nèi)心必然帶來好運(yùn)。
