On Wednesday evening , we went to the town hall , it was the last day of the year and a large crowd of people had gathered under the town hall clock , it would strike twelve in twenty minutes time , fifteenfifty minutes passed and then , at five to twelve , the clock stopped , the big minute hand did not move , we waited and waited , but nothing happened , suddenly someone shouted it s two minutes past twelve , the clock has stopped , i looked at my watch it was trues , the big clock refused to welcome the new year , at that moment everybody began to laugh and sing.

這篇文章介紹了新年前的最后一頁大家原本是打算去市政廳下的大樓進行倒數(shù)狂歡的，誰知道中在11點55分的時候停了，雖然總有小意外發(fā)生，但是也沒有掃了大家開心跨年的興致。其實將文章的3個時間節(jié)點抓出來，11點40前、11點55分和12點02分，這樣故事的情節(jié)就很清楚了，背誦起來也會更清晰哦~11點40分，大家去市政廳那里，發(fā)現(xiàn)已經有很大群人聚集在一起了。11點55分時，大鐘停止了。大大的分鐘沒有移動；而大家都不知道，還在等啊等。12點02分時有人大喊鐘停了。而我看了表后發(fā)現(xiàn)真的停了，其他人這時才恍然大悟，不過也沒有關系，依舊開心的又唱又笑起來，甚至還開玩笑說，這個大鐘在拒絕迎接新年，是不是也是怕老一歲啊~哈哈哈
