To Sethe, “Denver” is a really pretty name. Also, it’s a way to tell Denver to remember Amy who helped to bring her in this world.
3.In the carnival,when Denver was surrounded by a crowed of people who pleased her enough to consider the possibility that Paul.D wasn't all that bad,why did Denver change her attitude towards Paul.D?
In the first place, Paul D brought them to the carnival where other Negroes were kind and gentle, something Denver did not remember seeing. Also, because of Paul D’s truly pleasure shown, people nodded and smiled at her mother. Meanwhile, Paul D tried all he could to please Denver. At last, Paul D did what to please Denver’s mom, by trying to find work. These things made Paul D seemed not all that bad.
4.How did Denver change her attitude towards Paul D?
By far her attitude changed frequently because she just got to know Paul D. She was surprised when Paul D came to visit, since he knew her father back in Sweet Home, and it had been years since people visited their haunted house. However, Denver didn’t successfully realign her affection by interacting with Paul D, after Denver got scolded by her mother and ghost came back to haunt the house. Denver started to accept Paul D came into their life while Paul D brought them to the carnival. Then Paul D was trying kicking Beloved out of the house made Denver feel him threatening.
