Writing well requires practicing; so does thinking. I have been reluctant to write. The process and result of my writing often cause me frustration. But, as Hood said, only through writing and having native speakers editing can one make progress in writing. Another hurdle lies in my lack of patience. In fact, for the time being, the biggest problem brought about by my lack of patience is that I could not finish reading a book. I don't know why I am reading a book. I have no idea what I should extract from it. The reason behind that is my lack of knowledge in my field of research.

As far as the paper is concerned, I should get a good overview of Warburg's opinion and method as soon as possible. The best way to do it is through reading his articles. Yet this will slow the process down. An alternative way is to reading translated materials. Yet they are hard to find. So the conclusion is to find as many as Chinese articles as possible, then read the English ones. The second step should be finding a thesis, but I shouldn't worry about it now.
