Lesson 13 talks about a traveling group of musicians called The Greenwood Boys. The Greenwood Boys were a group of pop singers, but nowadays, it is more popular for muscians to be called aband. When a band ison tour, it travels and performs in many different places so that localfanscan come to the shows. The band usually travels in atour bus.
Fans who really love the band and know a lot about the band members are called groupies. Groupies usually have lots of bandmemorabilia, like T-shirts, jewelry, CDs, and books about the band, and they’ll be at front of the line waiting to enter thevenuewhere the band plays.
Amusic festivalis
a popular place to see lots of bands in a short amount of time. A music
festival be anywhere from one to ten days long, and people pay per day,
instead of per concert. Music festivals can be held outside in the
summertime, or inarenasorconcert hallsin the winter.
