Tonight, I watched some video by Jordan Peterson, a psychologist, stating the benefits of writing. I totally agree with the arguments used by him. From now on, I'd like to share some of my opinions by writing to express my thoughts about things I've thought about recently.
The reason for doing so is manifold. The first is, of course, to practice my English writing, since as a scholar, I have to write papers from time to time. To better practice English writing is a good method to improve my related skills. On the other hand, writing can help me release my mental thoughts about things happened around me recently. I don't want to think about those stupid things from time to time. I cannot help myself stop thinking those things.
Besides writing, which I originally think it is beneficial for personal thinking, I also think talking and debating are two good methods to sharpen a person's thinking.
也許是因為平常做科研接觸的都是英文,現(xiàn)在用中文的語氣來寫作感覺有點奇怪。在寫英文的時候,我會非常注意句子的語法和用詞。與之相反,在用中文進(jìn)行寫作的時候,至少大多數(shù)時候,我不會在意句子的語法是否是正確的。例如,逗號,句號等等,是否被正確地使用了。
