We passed the School , where Children strove
At recess-in the Ring-
We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain-
We passed the Setting Sun-
我們走過學(xué)校，適逢課間休息，
孩子們?cè)诓賵?chǎng)嬉戲，
我們走過可以凝視稻谷的田地
我們走過落日歸西
Or rather-he passed Us-
The Dews drew quivering and chill-
For only Gossamer , my Gown-
My tippet-only Tulle-
或者說-他走過了我們-
露水滲著冷顫和天寒
因?yàn)?我的禮服僅著薄娟，
只有輕紗作我的披肩
We paused before a House that seemed-
A Swelling of the Ground-
The Roof was scarcely visible-
The cornice-in the Ground .
