Ask the Autumn
By Ancheng
I once asked the late rain at dusk
She said there is autumn near the lake 20 kilometers north
Deep in the maple trees lies a piece of shale
which lived for thousands of years
Its dust was washed away by the moonlight
and it quietly sat by the roadside
I asked her what was so special about autumn
She said there was endless desolation in the autumn
Standing in the warm room and looking out at the passers-by
Their solitary walk also seemed heavy
I once asked about the late rain at dusk
She said that wind and rain did not always go together
The rain can stay in my hand or return to nothing
And the autumn wind, where did it go?
