There was once a guy who suffered from cancer, a cancerthat can’t be cured. He was 18 years old and he could die anytime. All hislife, he was stuck in his house being taken cared by his mother. He never went outside but he was sick of staying home and wanted to go out for once. So he asked his mother and she gave him permission.
以前有個(gè)年輕小伙子患了癌癥，無(wú)法治愈的一種癌癥。他才18歲，而且隨時(shí)可能死亡。他生命中所有的日子，就是蝸居在屋子里接受他母親的照顧。他從沒出去過(guò)，只能呆在家里，可他多想出去走走啊，哪怕就那么一次。于是他請(qǐng)求他的母親（讓他出去走走），母親答應(yīng)了他的請(qǐng)求。
He walked down his block and found a lot of stores. He passed a CD store and looked through the front door for a second as he walked. He stopped and went back to look into the store. He saw a beautiful girl about his age and he knew it was love at first sight. He opened the door and walked in, not looking at anything else but her. He walked closer and closer until he was finally at the front desk where she sat.
走在街道上，他看到了許多商店。當(dāng)他經(jīng)過(guò)一個(gè)賣CD的店子正要走開時(shí)，他透過(guò)大門瞧了一眼。他停下來(lái)又折回去仔細(xì)觀察這家商店。他看到了一個(gè)美麗的女孩，那女孩同他年齡相仿，他意識(shí)到他陷入一見鐘情之中了。他打開門，走入商店。其它任何的事物都不存在，他的眼里只有她！他一點(diǎn)一點(diǎn)地走近這個(gè)女孩，直到走到她坐著的桌子前面才停下。
She looked up and asked, “Can I help you?”
女孩抬眼問(wèn)他，“請(qǐng)問(wèn)您要點(diǎn)什么？”
She smiled and he thought it was the most beautiful smile he has ever seen before and wanted to kiss her right there.
她臉上滿溢著微笑，在他的心里，那是他見過(guò)的世上最美的笑顏，他真想就勢(shì)去吻她。
He said, “Uh... Yeah... Umm... I would like to buy a CD.”
他答道，“唔……是的……哦……，我想買張CD?！?/p>
He picked one out and gave her money for it.
他挑了一張CD，然后付款。
“Would you like me to wrap it for you?” she asked,smiling her cute smile again.
“我?guī)湍幌潞脝幔俊彼龁?wèn)道，可愛的微笑又涌上她的面頰。
He nodded and she went to the back. She came back with the wrapped CD and gave it to him. He took it and walked out of the store.
他點(diǎn)點(diǎn)頭，她走到柜臺(tái)后邊，拿著包好的CD回來(lái)遞給他。他接過(guò)，走出商店。
He went home and from then on, he went to that store every day and bought a CD, and she wrapped it for him. He took the CD home andput it in his closet. He was still too shy to ask her out and he really wanted to but he couldn’t. His mother found out about this and told him to just ask her. So the next day, he took all his courage and went to the store as usual. He bought a CD like he did every day and once again she went to the back of the store and came back with it wrapped. He took it and when she wasn’t looking, he left his phone number on the desk and ran out...
他回家了。此后，他每天都去那個(gè)商店，然后買張CD，她包好，給他。他把CD拿回家，放進(jìn)他的衣柜里。他太害羞，不敢邀她出來(lái)，他真想那么做啊，可他不能。他的母親察覺到了這一點(diǎn)并叫他去邀請(qǐng)女孩。因此第二天，他鼓足了所有的勇氣，如同往常一般，走進(jìn)商店。他買了張CD，一如往日，她再次走向柜臺(tái)后邊，拿著包好的CD回來(lái)。他接過(guò)CD，趁她沒注意的時(shí)候，他把他的電話號(hào)碼留在桌上，然后跑了……

丁呤呤呤……！??！
One day the phone rang, and the mother picked it up and said, “Hello?”
有天電話突然響起，男孩的母親拿起電話，“喂？”
It was the girl!!! The mother started to cry and said,“You don’t know? He passed away yesterday...”
原來(lái)是那個(gè)女孩?。?！母親情不自禁地哭了，“你不知道嗎？昨晚他就走了……”
The line was quiet except for the cries of the boy’smother. Later in the day, the mother went into the boy’s room because she wanted to remember him. She thought she would start by looking at his clothes. So she opened the closet.
電話里只聽到男孩的母親泣不成聲。后來(lái)，就在那天，這位母親走進(jìn)男孩的房間，因?yàn)?，她要找些有關(guān)兒子的記憶。她想她可以從整理他的衣物開始。母親打開了衣柜門。
She was face to face with piles and piles and piles of unopened CDs. She was surprised to find all these CDs and she picked one up and sat down on the bed and she started to open one. Inside, there was a CD and asshe took it out of the wrapper, out fell a piece of paper. The mother picked it up and started to read it. It said: Hi... I think U R really cute. Do u wanna go out with me? Love, Jocelyn.
出現(xiàn)在她面前的是一堆一堆又一堆沒有打開包裝的CD?？吹竭@么多的CD她非常吃驚。她揀起一盒，坐到床上打開它。里面，有一張CD，當(dāng)她拆開包裝時(shí)，一頁(yè)紙掉了出來(lái)。她撿起紙，開始讀起來(lái)。紙上寫著：“嗨……我覺得你真可愛。你愿意帶我一起出去兜兜風(fēng)嗎？愛你，Jocelyn。”
The mother was deeply moved and opened another CD...
男孩的母親被深深感動(dòng)了，她又打開了另一張CD……
Again there was a piece of paper. It said: Hi... I thinkU R really cute. Do u wanna go out with me? Love, Jocelyn.
里面又有一張紙，上面寫著：“嗨……我覺得你真可愛。你樂意帶我一起出去兜兜風(fēng)嗎？愛你的Jocelyn?！?/p>
Love is... when you’ve had a huge fight but then decide to put aside your egos, hold hands and say, “I Love You.”
愛就是……當(dāng)你內(nèi)心作著巨大的思想斗爭(zhēng)時(shí)，你只須下定決心拋開自我，握住對(duì)方的手，說(shuō)——“我愛你?！?/p>
