beijing’s west mountain is a long large mountain standing Northwest of the city.

when the people’s republic of china was just founded，beijing became it's capital.the leaders of the government had not yet moved to Zhongnanhai. they lived in west mountain and worked there.

it was very cool and quiet in the mountain. their working place and houses they lived now become a historic site.

travelers also visit west mountain for sight seeing. when autumn is arriving, and the weather get cold, the yellow and red maple leaves made the mountain an attractive place of interests.
