最近在Quora 看見一篇文章,他回答了如何提高英語詞匯量。

原標(biāo)題是 ?How can I improve my English vocabulary?
原文:
Here are two tricky ways to do it!
1- There is a website called TED, on this website you will find hundreds of TED talks which are some people are talking about good accomplishments or spreading their knowledge about something.
The good thing about TED talks is that every speaker has 5-20 minutes to tell what he wants, so they pick the words carefully and Every sentence has a value.
Every TED talk has subtitles in almost every language, I would recommend that you watch the talk first with subtitles of your mother tongue language. then watch it again with English subtitles, then again without any subtitles.
This would help you enrich your language
TED: Ideas worth spreading
2- People always keep telling you to read books and novels in English to improve your language, And this is a good way actually. but I think It is not a good way to start with, because you will get bored after the first 50 pages.
My advice to you is to read the small and simple English articles, because articles are small and you can finish it in a 20 minutes maximum
So you will learn about a new thing which the article is talking about and also enrich your vocabulary about that topic
And for this, I would recommend a very amazing app for smartphones called " Pocket ". This app recommends every day to you the funniest and most helpful articles from different websites and journals. Also, you can save the articles and read them offline. You can use the app or the online website
By the way, Something I usually do, Every morning I read a new article and then record my self-reading this article, and listen to my voice. This way helped me a lot to improve both " Reading and Speaking "
I hope this was useful for you
