When Jane and Elizabeth were alone, the former, who had been cautious in her praise of Mr. Bingley before,expressed to her sister how very much she admired him.
之前簡(jiǎn)妮還不愿意表達(dá)她對(duì)賓格利先生的贊美，但是當(dāng)她和伊麗莎白獨(dú)處的時(shí)候，向她表示自己多么地欣賞他。
“He is just what a young man ought to be," said she,"sensible, good humoured, lively; and I never saw such happy manners!--so much ease, with such perfect good breeding!"
"他就是一個(gè)男青年該有的樣子，”她說(shuō)道，“懂分寸，幽默又活潑，我從來(lái)沒(méi)見(jiàn)過(guò)一個(gè)人的舉止可以令人如此愉悅！如此自在，有著很好的教養(yǎng)！”
“He is also handsome," replied Elizabeth," which a young man ought likewise to be, if he possibly can. His character is thereby complete."
"他也很英俊，”伊麗莎白回答道，“一個(gè)年輕人也應(yīng)該如此，如果他自己能決定的話。因此他這個(gè)人是完美的（？）”。
“I was very much flattered by his asking me to dance a second time. I did not expect such a compliment."
