六月十日是葡萄牙的國慶日。這一天源自于紀(jì)念葡萄牙著名的歷史人物之一路易·德·卡蒙斯，卡蒙斯是一位探險(xiǎn)家和詩人，他向世界傳揚(yáng)了葡萄牙的探險(xiǎn)故事，為這個(gè)國家贏得了聲譽(yù)和尊重。

Portugal National Day 2017
June 10 marks Dia de Portugal, de Cam?es e das Comunidades Portuguesas, the national day of Portugal. This date was chosen to honor Luís de Cam?es, one of the country’s celebrated historic figures. Cam?es was an adventurer and poet who told tales of Portuguese exploration, bringing fame and respect to the country.
Today’s Doodle shows the Portuguese flag waving proudly. This flag has flown since 1911, after Portugal officially became a republic following centuries of monarchy rule. The center of the flag contains the Portuguese shield, a symbol that has represented the country for hundreds of years. Over time, each of the many Portuguese kings and queens influenced the design of the shield to make it what it is today.
Portuguese communities across the globe take today to remember their history and celebrate their culture. It has become tradition for the Portuguese president to choose cities across the world to hold official holiday celebrations. This year’s festivities will take place in the Portuguese city ofPortoand in bothRio de JaneiroandS?o Pauloin Brazil.
