老人與大魚的故事在本書中占了近一半的篇幅。

這部戲中戲以釣繩下沉開始。

以第一條鯊魚即將出現(xiàn)截止（這處轉(zhuǎn)折真是神來之筆）。

The old man looked at the fish constantly to make sure it was true.It was an hour before the first shark hit him.

如果讓你寫，你會怎么安排劇情呢？

當然，這段戲用一句話也能概括：大魚很厲害，雙方對抗很久，最終老人贏了。

而海明威顯然是有注意層次遞進的。

(1)人魚之間靠什么來表現(xiàn)對抗？

老人與魚的“對手戲”除了釣繩的松緊，魚的頑強占了上風老人只能等待，還安排老人對魚數(shù)次隔空說話，以及老人時而焦灼時而振奮的心理獨白。

中間有時會出現(xiàn)小鳥這種“打醬油”的角色，以及老人回憶的中斷來推進劇情。

(2)大魚怎么出場？

大魚在這里扮演的就是一位與主角力量相當?shù)纳衩厝恕?/p>

它的出現(xiàn)也是從魚鉤一沉到拉著釣繩跑讓老人猜測是個大家伙，再到讓老人看到局部有了清晰的觀感，再到看船下游過的陰影時的驚詫，層層遞進。

（3）怎么寫大魚？

大。釣繩拉的太緊會斷，因此老人手抽筋，皮膚擦破。

沉穩(wěn)地拉著船周旋了三天。老人不得不生吃金槍魚補充體力，最后“決戰(zhàn)”時刻用意志強迫自己清醒。

而老人對魚的認知從對手變成朋友、兄弟———孤零零的兩方，一個在船上，一個在水下，誰都不肯服輸，惺惺相惜，在寂寥的大海上互相陪伴。

（4）老人在這段戲里干了什么？

老人作為第一主角，戲份更為豐富。

想起了心目中的英雄。

回憶自己曾經(jīng)的傳奇。

有表現(xiàn)老人懂得很多trick的細節(jié)。比如把手伸進水里測速，不用羅盤感受方向。

還有表現(xiàn)老人海上生存經(jīng)驗豐富的戲，比如生吃金槍魚。

與大魚僵持不下時，老人很熱血。

"I ' ll kill him though,"he said."In all his greatness and his glory."

Although it is unjust,he thought.But I will show him what a man can do and what a man endures.

"I told the boy I was a strange old man, "he said."Now is when I must prove it."

The thousand times that he had proved it meant nothing.Now he was proving it again.Each time was a new time and he never thought about the past when he was doing it.

讓人動容的還有一些很“燃”的描寫。比如老人太困了，說服自己不要睡強制克服困意的部分里出現(xiàn)了多個sleep。越是不能sleep，越拿sleep吸引你。

還有寄情于景的寫法。

The clouds were building up now for the trade wind and he looked ahead and saw a flight of wild ducks etching themselves against the sky over the water,then blurring,then etching again and he knew no man was ever alone on the sea.

這句話多有畫面感，又多么有詩意。
