第五、六章中多看了一眼的句子：

這段話中我發(fā)現(xiàn)在句子之間用了一系列的re…，他回想起那些日子，回頭看看他們相遇的山峰，好像又能聞到暴雨后的清新空氣，回憶中又走了一遍山徑小路，這里就暗藏了以后會出現(xiàn)的悲傷氣氛。
2.giving the same lessons year after year had formed a groove into…
成年累月的教授同樣的課程已經(jīng)形成了一條槽（成了老一套）form a groove這個表達非常形象。
3.His mind,which was adequately if not brilliantly equipped.
他的思想雖沒有非常聰明但也夠用。if我查了字典，最恰當?shù)尼屃x我認為在這里應該表達“即使”的意味，所以“if not”表示“即使沒有、雖沒有”。
4.Kathie broadened his views and opinions,also,giving him an outlook far beyond the roofs and turrets of Brookfield.
broaden這個用法讓我想起toughen，同樣是形容詞動詞化，broad表示寬的，broaden作為動詞意為擴寬；后面outlook本意為遠景，引申義為觀點，這里與后面“beyond the roofs and turrets of Brookfield”一起使用感覺兩者的意義都能體會出來，很生動。
課堂筆記：
1.incorrect、impossible等這種否定前綴的單詞，如果想強調否定式，可以在前綴重讀。
例：We've been together and untogether.
2.have a hard time doing sth（not to do sth）
3.It was alright，her coming to Brookfield.動名詞的使用更正式z
例：Your taking part in Phoenominal English is great.
4.see in someone：欣賞某個方面
What do you see in her？你看上她哪點了？
5.eligible：有資格的，可以與qualified互換
6.gem clear與crystal clear含義差不多，像玉石一樣清晰。
7.depreciate：貶值 self depreciating 自我貶低??自黑
8.with mock gravity：故作嚴肅，mock模擬 gravity嚴肅
