It is Autumn.
?A strong wind is blowing.It blows flower seeds high in the air and carries them far across the land. One of the seeds is tiny, smaller than any of the others. Will it be able to keep up with the others? And where are they all going?

?秋天來(lái)了，大風(fēng)吹來(lái)，把花種子們高高地?fù)P起來(lái)，帶到遠(yuǎn)方。在這些種子中間，有一粒特別細(xì)小，比別的所有種子都小。這小種子能不能跟上別的種子呢？這些種子又會(huì)去哪里呢？
生命的旅程開(kāi)始了，秋天是結(jié)果的季節(jié)，所以小種子從這個(gè)季節(jié)出發(fā)，開(kāi)始了探索。這是種子借助風(fēng)的力量傳播，就像蒲公英那種。你能找到小種子在哪嗎？那最小，最后面的那一顆。
One of the seeds flies higher than the others. Up, up it goes! It flies toohigh and the sun's hot rays burn it up. But the tiny seed sails on with theothers.
一粒種子飛得特別高，越飛越高。它飛得太高了，熾熱的陽(yáng)光把它燒著了。我們的小種子同別的種子一起繼續(xù)旅行。
種子們開(kāi)始遇到危險(xiǎn)和挑戰(zhàn)了。如果離太陽(yáng)太近，就會(huì)被熱量燒的沒(méi)有植物活性了。
Another seed lands on a tall and icy mountain. The ice never melts, and theseed cannot grow. The rest of the seeds fly on. But the tiny seed does not goas fast as the others.
另一粒種子停在高高的冰山上。山上的冰終年不化，種子不能生長(zhǎng)。剩下的種子繼續(xù)飛，但我們的小種子沒(méi)有別的種子飛得那么快。
種子們?cè)竭^(guò)冰山，大種子落錯(cuò)了地方，冰山不能生長(zhǎng)，也結(jié)束了生命旅程。剛才紅彤彤的太陽(yáng)，這時(shí)都變成黃色的，隱藏在風(fēng)的后面了。這里的溫度不足以植物生長(zhǎng)。
小種子雖然落在后面，但是因?yàn)橹亓枯p，所以不至于落到冰山上，它奮力追趕。
Now they fly over the ocean. One seed falls into the water and drowns. The others sail on with the wind. But the tiny seed does not go as high as the others.
現(xiàn)在，種子們正飛越大海。一粒種子掉到海里，淹沒(méi)了。別的種子隨風(fēng)飄著，但我們的小種子沒(méi)有別的種子飛得高。
一粒種子掉入了海洋也終結(jié)了生命。小種子卻沒(méi)有飛得那么高，海上風(fēng)浪大，低空飛行比較安全。
One seed drifts down onto the desert. It is hot and dry, and the seed cannot grow. Now the tiny seed is flying very low, but the wind pushes it on with the others.
一粒種子飄落到沙漠里。大沙漠又熱又干，種子不能生長(zhǎng)?，F(xiàn)在，我們的小種子已經(jīng)飛地很低了，不過(guò)，借著風(fēng)力它還能跟上別的種子。
?一粒種子落到了沙漠，沒(méi)有合適的溫度和水分，同樣不能生長(zhǎng)。
看到仙人掌上面的那顆小種子了嗎？它好像在蓄積力量。
Finally the wind stops and seeds fall gently down on the ground. A bird comesby and eats one seed. The tiny seed is not eaten. It is so small that the birddoes not see it.
風(fēng)終于停了，種子們慢悠悠地落到地上。一只小鳥(niǎo)走過(guò)，把一粒種子吃了。我們的小種子沒(méi)被吃掉，它太小了，小鳥(niǎo)都看不見(jiàn)。
種子們落地，可是地上也有危機(jī)存在。雖然鳥(niǎo)傳播也是種子傳播的一種方式，可是被鳥(niǎo)啄碎就麻煩了，整顆種子吞咽下才有可能通過(guò)糞便排泄出來(lái)。
小種子因?yàn)樾?，不顯眼，又逃過(guò)一劫。
Now it is Winter.
After their long trip the seeds settle down. They look just as if they are going to sleep in the earth.Snow falls and covers them like a soft white blanket. A hungry mouse that also lives in the ground eats a seed for his lunch. But the tiny seed lies very still and the mouse does not see it.
冬天種子們經(jīng)過(guò)長(zhǎng)途旅行固定到各自的位子?？雌饋?lái)，它們要在地里過(guò)冬了。下雪了，給種子們蓋上了柔軟的白被子。一只住在地里的饑餓的老鼠把一粒種子當(dāng)午飯吃了。我們的小種子躺在地上一動(dòng)不動(dòng)，老鼠沒(méi)看見(jiàn)它。
這是動(dòng)物傳播種子的一個(gè)過(guò)程，不過(guò)當(dāng)動(dòng)物餓得不行的時(shí)候，他們也要食物啊，老鼠挑了最大的那粒種子。小種子也是因?yàn)樾?，逃過(guò)了老鼠的眼睛。
這個(gè)畫(huà)面分地上，雪毯，地下三部分，上面白色的雪花飄落，中間留白即是白雪，這時(shí)種子都埋于地下了。經(jīng)過(guò)雪的滋潤(rùn)，來(lái)年春天就會(huì)發(fā)芽了。
Now it is spring.
?After a few months the snow has melted. It is really spring! Birds fly by. The sun shines. Rain falls.The seeds grow so round and full they start to burst open a little.
春天幾個(gè)月過(guò)去了，冬雪化了，春天來(lái)了！??小鳥(niǎo)飛來(lái)了，太陽(yáng)出來(lái)了，春雨落下來(lái)了。種子們開(kāi)始長(zhǎng)大了，它們變得又圓又鼓，有些都開(kāi)始裂開(kāi)來(lái)了。
種子們終于迎來(lái)了春天生長(zhǎng)的季節(jié)。吸飽了水的種子們都變得圓鼓鼓的，裂開(kāi)生根，發(fā)芽了。
?Now they are not seeds any more. They are plants. First they send roots down into the earth. Then their little stems and leaves begin to grow up toward the sun and air. ?There is another plant that grows much faster than the new little plants. It is a big fat weed. And it takes all the sunlight and the rain away from one of the small new plants. And that little plant dies.
現(xiàn)在，他們不再是種子了，他們是植物了。首先，它們把根須往下伸到地里去；然后，它們長(zhǎng)出小小的莖葉，朝向空氣和陽(yáng)光。有一株植物原來(lái)是一株又胖又大的野草，它長(zhǎng)得比別的新植物都快。它搶走了所有的陽(yáng)光和雨露以至于在它邊上的一株小植物死掉了。
種子們終于開(kāi)始生長(zhǎng)成植物了，卡爾爺爺用簡(jiǎn)單的語(yǔ)言描繪了植物生長(zhǎng)的過(guò)程：生根，抽莖，長(zhǎng)葉。但是自然法則是優(yōu)勝劣汰，想要生存，植物就要自己爭(zhēng)取更多的陽(yáng)光和水分，長(zhǎng)得弱小的就會(huì)因?yàn)槿鄙儋Y源而夭折。
The tiny seed hasn't begun to grow yet.It will be too late! Hurry！?But finally it too starts to grow into a plant.
我們的小種子還沒(méi)有發(fā)芽呢?？煅剑獊?lái)不及了！終于，小種子也長(zhǎng)成植物了。
小種子選的位置很好，沒(méi)有落到野草下面，被吸走營(yíng)養(yǎng)。我們都要替小種子捏一把汗呢。它慢慢開(kāi)始發(fā)芽。
The warm weather also brings the children out to play. They toohave been waiting for the sun and spring time. One child doesn't see the plantsas he runs along and--Oh! He breaks one! Now it cannot grow any more.
久違了的陽(yáng)光和春天溫暖的氣候把孩子們也帶到了野外來(lái)游戲。他們也等待了好長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，終于迎來(lái)了陽(yáng)光和春天。??！有一個(gè)孩子沒(méi)有注意到春天的植物們，在奔跑中他把一株植物踩斷了。這下，這株植物就不能再生長(zhǎng)了。
孩子們的跑跳玩耍也是會(huì)輕易的毀掉一個(gè)植物的生命，有些幼苗一踩就折斷枯萎了。好在小種子幸運(yùn)的躲過(guò)這一腳。
看到這幅圖，真想把這只腳搬開(kāi)，所以我們出去踏青的時(shí)候，也要告訴寶貝，注意保護(hù)幼小的嫩芽和植物。一個(gè)生命是多么的脆弱。
The tiny plant that grew from the tiny seed is growing fast, but its neighbor grows even faster.Before the tiny plant has three leaves the other plant has seven! And look! A bud! And now even a flower!
我們的小種子長(zhǎng)成的小植物飛快地生長(zhǎng)著，但它的鄰居長(zhǎng)得更快。小植物才三片葉子的時(shí)候，鄰居已經(jīng)有七片了！看！花蕾！哦，花都開(kāi)了！
旁邊的花長(zhǎng)得很快，都已經(jīng)開(kāi)出了美麗的花朵。
But what is happening? First there are footsteps. Then a shadow looms over them. Then a hand reaches down and breaks off the flower.
怎么拉？一陣腳步聲以后，一片陰影蓋過(guò)來(lái)，接著，一只手伸過(guò)來(lái)，摘走了花！
可惜的是，美麗易逝。一個(gè)年輕美麗的生命就這么被折斷了，在它剛開(kāi)始綻放生命姿彩的時(shí)候。
我們看到美麗的花，都很喜歡，但是要記得珍惜，不能因?yàn)樽约旱南矏?ài)，就剝奪他們生存的權(quán)利。這是教育無(wú)痕，當(dāng)我們隨著小種子的旅程經(jīng)歷過(guò)之后，我們的寶貝慢慢就會(huì)懂得，小種子成長(zhǎng)為美麗的花朵多么艱辛，不要隨手摘花。
A boy has picked the flower to give to a friend.
原來(lái)是一個(gè)男孩把花送給了女朋友。
男孩送給了女朋友花朵，可是這朵花也結(jié)束了生命。
It is Summer.
Now the tiny plant from the tiny seed is all alone. It grows on and on. It doesn't stop. The sun shines on it and the rain waters it. It has many leaves. It grows taller and taller. It is taller than the people. It is taller than the trees. It is taller than the houses. And now a flower grows on it. People come from far and near to look at this flower. It is the tallest flower they have ever seen. It is agiant flower.
夏天小種子長(zhǎng)成的植物孤獨(dú)地生長(zhǎng)著，它長(zhǎng)啊，長(zhǎng)啊，一刻不停。陽(yáng)光照耀著它，雨水滋潤(rùn)著它。它有很多葉子了，它越長(zhǎng)越高。比人高了！比樹(shù)高了！比房子都高了！現(xiàn)在，它也長(zhǎng)出了一朵花。附近的人們，甚至遠(yuǎn)處的人們都來(lái)看這朵花。這是他們看到過(guò)的最高的花，簡(jiǎn)直是巨形花！
現(xiàn)在只剩下小種子的這顆植物孤零零的了，它抓緊時(shí)機(jī)，快速的生長(zhǎng)，終于開(kāi)出了巨大美麗的花朵，成了一個(gè)奇跡。人們?cè)僖膊荒芎鲆曀?，踐踏它，而是仰望它！所有的艱辛終于有了收獲！
All Summer long the birds and bees andbutterflies come visiting. They have never seen such a big and beautiful flower.
整個(gè)夏天，小鳥(niǎo)，蜜蜂，蝴蝶們不停地來(lái)拜訪，它們也從沒(méi)有看到過(guò)那么巨大，那么好看的花！
小種子開(kāi)出的花吸引小昆蟲(chóng)們和小鳥(niǎo)來(lái)為它傳粉，為結(jié)出種子做準(zhǔn)備，進(jìn)行生命的延續(xù)。
Now it is Autumn again.
The days grow shorter.The nights grow cooler. And the wind carries yellow and red leaves past the flower. Some petals drop from the giant flower and they sail along with the bright leaves over the land and down to the ground.
又一個(gè)秋天白天越來(lái)越短了，夜晚越來(lái)越冷了。風(fēng)把黃的紅的葉子吹起來(lái)，幾瓣花瓣從巨大的花上落下來(lái)，同那些彩色的葉子一起飄落到地上。
季節(jié)的輪回，周而復(fù)始，生命也繼續(xù)。秋天樹(shù)葉和花朵都要飄落下來(lái)。美麗的花也要凋零。
The wind blows harder. The flower has lost almost all of its petals. Itsways and bends away from the wind. But the wind grows stronger and shakes theflower. Once more the wind shakes the folwer, and this time the folwer's seedpod opens. Out come many tiny seeds that quickly sail far away on the wind.
風(fēng)更緊了。巨大的花幾乎失去了它所有的花瓣。它在風(fēng)中搖晃著，低下了頭。又一陣風(fēng)吹來(lái)，這回，果莢打開(kāi)了，無(wú)數(shù)小種子從里面飛出來(lái)，隨風(fēng)飄去。
當(dāng)我們剛要為漂亮的花朵凋零傷心的時(shí)候，生命的奇跡開(kāi)始了，它的種子繼續(xù)新的旅程了，生命得以延續(xù)。還會(huì)有這樣的小種子，繼續(xù)為生命奮爭(zhēng)。
