Gaily bedight,

A gallant knight,

In sunshine and in shadow,

Had journeyed long,

Singing a song,

In search of Eldorado.

But he grew old-

This knight so bold-

And o'er his heart a shadow

Fell as he found

No spot of ground

That looked like Eldorado.

And, as his strength

Failed him at length,

He met a pilgrim shadow-

"Shadow," said he,

"Where can it be-

This land of Eldorado?"

"Over the Mountains Of the Moon,

Down the Valley of the Shadow,

Ride, boldly ride,"

The shade replied-

"If you seek for Eldorado!"

有一位穿著時(shí)尚，

勇猛干練的騎士，

他馬不停蹄，夜以繼日，

的踏破千山萬水，

一路引吭高歌，

他要尋找黃金國。

可是，當(dāng)他年老，行將就木之時(shí),

這位勇猛的騎士卻在心頭

籠罩了一層陰影。

因?yàn)樗て铺煅暮＝牵?/p>

都沒有找到黃金國。

這讓他萬念俱灰，

筋疲力盡。正當(dāng)這時(shí)，

他看見一位神圣的陰影

出現(xiàn)在他的面前，于是

他就對影子說：“影子

告訴我，哪里可以找到黃金國？”

影子回復(fù)說：

“在月亮的高山之上，隱逸的叢林之中

你若快馬加鞭，就會指日可待?！?/p>

影子說完，就消失不見了，

僅留余音繚繞，不絕于耳

“若要尋找黃金國，此處方可去?！?/p>
