《必蒙應允的禱告》
主啊，讓我受苦多多
然后死去
讓我走過寂靜
不留一物，也無恐懼
讓世界繼續(xù)轉動
讓大海依舊輕吻沙灘
讓青草長綠
以便青蛙藏匿其間
以便有人于此
為愛掩臉痛哭
使白日明亮升起
仿佛不再有痛苦

A Prayer That Will Be Answered

Lord let me suffer much
and then die
Let me walk through silence
and leave nothing behind not even fear
Make the world continue
let the ocean kiss the sand just as before
Let the grass stay green
so that the frogs can hide in it
so that someone can bury his face in it
and sob out his love
Make the day rise brightly
as if there were no more pain
And let my poem stand clear as a windowpane
bumped by the bumblebee’s head.

死亡，是我們必然的命運，受苦，是我們每個人必有的功課。除此之外，什么樣的禱告必得應允呢？什么樣的祈求不是虛妄的呢？生命本來就是無常的，我們能確定的事情不會太多。但無論如何，世界照樣運轉，上帝普遍的恩典仍在，太陽仍然明亮地照耀，正如卡敏斯卡的另一首詩里所說的那樣: "我相信光明/奇跡般地加倍/普照萬物/連一只仰面掙扎的/小狗般無助的甲蟲/也不例外。"(卡敏斯卡，《另外的世界》)。除此之外，悲傷的時候，我們也仍可以找到一處安靜的角落哭泣，哀悼，懷念，傾訴，祈禱，仍然可以寫一首詩寄托悲傷和喜樂。仰望神，"一宿雖然有哭泣，早晨切必歡呼"(詩篇30:5)
