Today is Friday.

On the next day, Amelia, her friends and all the parents went to the lot. The dads had to move the trash to the cart. The girls and moms began to clean the grasses and weeds. Amelia found a cat in the bush and got it to go away. When dads came back and saw the cleaned lot, they said,"We can call it a day," which means to quit work and go home or to say that a day's work has been completed.

The girls sat under the oak tree, longing their happy lives in the lot. One of Amelia's friends said,"We will be able to break ground on the tree house." That means to start digging the foundation for a building.

On the way to a restaurant, they met a man who had a car market where Amelia had made a lemonade advertisement which wrote A LOT OF LEMONS beside. You should know that lemon in English means a vehicle (often new) that is found to have several manufacturing defects which may affect the safety, value or use of the vehicle. So you can imagine how the man would feel.
