Hi I'm Jennifer
Thank you for being my audience. It’s my first time to be a prepared speaker.
And, it is the second time for me to stand on this stage. One year ago, i “played” in the table topic part.
Actually, it is? the 3rd time I have ever been a speaker in English.
Told you about the last time, and the first time was in an English contest, back in university. I don’t want to recall too much, so you can guess what a result I had.
Though frustrated and frightened, I indeed dreamed about being a speaker from time to time. Because a speaker can make impression, inspiration, and influence.
But, frankly, I dreamed about almost 'everything'.
I dreamed to be a craftsman and make unique delicate things to decorate one’s life.
I dreamed about being a musician, to write songs and deliver with a variety of instruments. Maybe that's why I still watch some TV shows for singers. Apart from the SOP (steps of process or ‘taolu’), I can still pick up the melody and rhythm, and even the arrangements and choreography.
Besides dreams, other things keep attracting me. Like science, and history. But i can only have a connection with them by reading. Unfortunately, I’m not a good reader. One page can cost a day or a good night’s sleep. That means another day.
Thanks to the technology, I have more and more alternatives. Documentaries, TV shows, and even TV dramas are all so informative.
Having watched a lot, it seems natural to became interested in producing part. So when the chance came to make a micro film, I took it with no hesitation. Some of you may have an idea, it was a serie called 'Miss Dior’, produced by Retail Operations. I showed up once or twice, contributed in plotting and filmed a few scenes. The film made my first year in Fidelity feeling like going back to university.
Speaking of university, I had my undergraduate study in Wuhan, Yes, 40 degrees this week.? After 4 years’ fight against the hot summers, and the cold winters, I retreated back to Dalian. I started my post graduate study and got a chance to go abroad.
I went the city called Adelaide in South Australia. The Aussie people were friendly and helpful, but I still encountered a few problems. One of them was that my tutor was not remembering my name. It makes no difference on the academic result. But, it was his face when he was trying to think of my name that made me feel weird, or disappointed. As you may have guessed, he was good-looking, white hair, deep eyes, tall and slim. I just wanted him to remember my name. I must force him. So my SOP was to go to his tutorial, approach him in the front of the classroom and say 'Hi, I'm Jennifer". Having shown shocked face 3 or 4 times, he finally smiled and said “hi Jennifer!”
See, he’d got my humour, and my name. Hope you guys a.
So much, I’m Jennifer. Thank you!

Will keep you updated,cheers!
