Tame Me

“Good morning,” said the fox.
狐貍說：“早上好?！?“Good morning,” the little prince responded politely, although when he turned around he saw nothing.
小王子禮貌地回答道：“早上好?！辈贿^當(dāng)他轉(zhuǎn)身的時候，什么也沒看見。
“I am right here,” the voice said, “under the apple tree.”
那個聲音說：“我在這里，就在蘋果樹下面?！?“Who are you?” asked the little prince, and added, “You are very pretty to look at.”
小王子問道：“你是誰？”然后接著說：“你真是好看?！?“I am a fox,” said the fox.
狐貍說：“我是一只狐貍?！?
“Come and play with me,” proposed the little prince. “I am so unhappy.”
小王子提議：“來和我一起玩吧，我很不開心?！?“I cannot play with you,” the fox said. “I am not tamed.”
狐貍說：“我不能和你一起玩，我還沒有被馴養(yǎng)。”
“Ah! Please excuse me,” said the little prince. But, after some thought, he added: “What does that mean — 'tame’?”
小王子說：“?。”??！辈贿^他想了想然后補充道：“不過‘馴養(yǎng)’是什么意思呢？”
“It is an act too often neglected,” said the fox. “It means to establish ties.”
狐貍說：“這是一個通常會被忽略的舉動。馴養(yǎng)就是指建立聯(lián)系。”
“To establish ties?”
“建立聯(lián)系？”
“Just that,” said the fox. “To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world . . . ."
狐貍說：“也就是說，對于我，你和其他成千上萬的小男孩一樣，沒有不同。我不需要你；而你，也不需要我。于你而言，我和其他成千上萬的狐貍也并無二致。但如果你馴養(yǎng)了我，我們便彼此需要。在這個世上，你就是我的唯一，我亦是你的唯一?！?詞匯 & 詞組
