萬圣節(jié)是西方國(guó)家的節(jié)日。
It falls on the last day of October.
萬圣節(jié)是十月的最后一天。
People will celebrate it from the midnight of October, 31 to November first.
人們會(huì)從十月三十一日的午夜就一直開始慶祝到十一月一日。
It is celebrated to praise autumn
人們慶祝這個(gè)節(jié)日是為了贊美秋天。
So we can see pumpkins everywhere on Halloween.
因此我們總能在萬圣節(jié)看到南瓜。
There is also another legend about Halloween.
關(guān)于萬圣節(jié)，還有一個(gè)傳說。
A scary one.
一個(gè)嚇人的傳說哦。
Halloween is also connected with the ghosts.
人們也把萬圣節(jié)和鬼魂聯(lián)系在一起。
People believe that the ghosts who have no home to go will go out for food on the night of October, 31.
人們認(rèn)為那些無家可歸的鬼魂會(huì)在10月31日晚上出來找食物。
So they decided to celebrate on that day, hoping that lighting up lights would frighten the ghosts away.
因此他們決定慶祝這一天，希望慶祝的燈火能嚇走鬼魂。
But now, kids will put on strange masks and frightening costumes on Halloween.

南瓜燈會(huì)藏在樹葉下面嗎？
Tonight the baby wears a black cat costume, pretending to be a cat.
今晚，小寶寶穿著黑貓的服裝，假裝他是只貓。
Will he find a pumpkin under the leaves？
他會(huì)在落葉下發(fā)現(xiàn)南瓜嗎?
No!? But there’s a fuzzy black cat!
咦！樹葉下面有一只毛絨絨的黑色貓咪！
The baby looks just the same as the black cat.
那個(gè)寶寶看起來跟這只黑貓一樣。
The cat seems to be frightened.
那只貓好像被嚇到了。
I guess he was sleeping under the leaves.

南瓜燈會(huì)在窗簾后面嗎？
The baby continues to find his pumpkin.

There are candies and candy apples on the table.
