cool topic, so-so book

「Why Buddhism is True」讀后感

the writing quality and the low depth of understanding about the science part of this author are pretty so so, which kind-of ruin the topic.

Anyway, this book conveys a different (with a previous book) view how brain works: takes-in info, producing feelings (which may be result of evolution and outdated), then they drive parts of the brain to generate thoughts and then compete and deliver to the conscious part...

A quick thought: however the theory is, human or brains are basially certain organs firing "random" signals trigger by external inputs or themselves so whatever created by human are essentially pointless; however on the other hand, certain external interactions can never be ignored, e.g., got punched. It is kind of two separate studies how brains function and evolve, while how brains interact (social part) and reccursively evolve and then in turn change the interactions again. It is pretty intriguring to know whether there is a third subject studying them as a whole....
