懼怕，恐懼

區(qū)別：

fear是個廣義詞，指內(nèi)在的害怕心理；

dread指由于預(yù)知某一不愉快或令人驚懼的事要發(fā)生而帶來的恐懼或由于預(yù)料到危險即將來臨而產(chǎn)生的恐懼；

alarm指由于危險的突然出現(xiàn)而產(chǎn)生的驚慌失措的恐懼；

terror指因受到外界刺激而產(chǎn)生的恐懼心理。

She has a dread of losing her property

她擔(dān)心財產(chǎn)丟失。

Their eyes were wide with alarm when the burning building collapsed.

當(dāng)著火的大樓倒塌時，他們驚恐地睜大了眼睛。

They suffered untold terrors in the dark.

在黑暗中他們感到無以名狀的恐懼。
