Dec. Monthly Resolution for Reading

Here, I reveal who I truly am. I am a nobody who's always been wavering between being opportunistic and genuine. Indeed, it's bad being lopsidedly opportunistic not only due to people's gradually accumulated hatred but also due to me being exhausted with inside my heart. Thence, I try to find a balance between the two attributes: I deal with chances with a sincere attitude, not a pretended one to lie for a promotion.

Furthermore, I thank 07-泥巴叔 for inviting me into this reading project, for even though the last time I had breached a promise between us, he not only forgave me but also still provides me with such a chance. I am truly grateful for it.

The reason I join this reading project is not to cater to 07-泥巴叔's invitation, yet it is that I am wishful of improving myself, not fulfilling anyone's expectation but surpassing yesterday's self. To this end, I choose the book 「The Great Gatsby」, though never familiarizing with who this "Gatsby" is. The book contains nine chapters and is divided into 28 sections, just enough for the plan, and let me share one famous quote from the book with you:

"Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had."

The outcome I hope I can obtain after accomplishing this monthly reading plan is to, firstly, get my vocab accreted and, secondly, make more friends who share similar interests with me.

I hope most of the plans I set for December can work out well, paving the path for a better 2020, the year I shall be 18. I really have to learn to be an adult then. lol.
