Good morning,I am so delighted to be here and make a brief introduction. My name is wangguo, 21 years old. I come from GuangAn city of sichuan province which is the hometown of the great man who carried out the reform and opening up policy——Deng Xiaoping. My family is consist of my sister ,my parents and me. My sister now study in sichuan agricultural university, my parents are peasant workers in ChongQing.
But I would like to call them builders,for doing decorations for the house owner and being builders in the way most chinese parents are. They use whatever they have and build better lives and better futures for their children. They believe that if they give everything they have, their children would have a better life than they did and they're right. They want to give my sister and me opportunities they never had and they did. In chinese rural area like my hometown, few children in my age are attending college, not alone graduates. By doing so, my family becomes the minority in our village who does not have the car or buy the house.
My mom didn't finish her junior high school, but she made sure I learn the saying :‘knowledge can change fate’. When I study far away from her, the saying she told me stuck with me, encouraging me to work hard, to keep fighting, to do the right thing even the right thing is the hard thing.So far, I am so proud to say that I've never been absent from the class, I've never failed a single test, I've never wasted a single minute on computer games.I am the rare bird who passed CET-6 with 513.
Standing here and being interviewed by you, I feel so nervous now. Because this competition is fierce and I do not have any advantages. When martin luther king faced the challenge, he didn't say I have a nightmare, he has a dream.Facing the challenge of mine, I also have a dream. I have a dream that a few months later, I will walk in this beautiful school as a graduate, I have a dream that I can better myself and shoulder the responsibility of my family, I have a dream that chinese bridge can gain big reputation because of our generation.
