Have been thinking this for a quite a long time, you know, writing in English. It can be hard, if you stand in front of trying something, being easy same time when you stop hesitating and just type down your first word. Then you can fly.
This very first article, I wanna share some feelings about a series of book, which is my favorite, named 《Harry Potter》. I talk just as a reader, so things won’t go too serious, but quite subjective.Reasons of how this book benefit me.

First, these books saved my boring and wondering time when I needed.

I met it at really young time, no more than 13, I remembered. You experienced and I believe you knew, school time was not that charming. Under the pressure of homework and being alone sometimes, I did wondering where are the funs of life, I didn’t follow those active boys and girls, because my uncle(I was living in their house during my teenage time) didn’t allow me getting out frequently even weekends. So my choices are narrow, I stayed with books a lot, but not textbooks. You guess right, I met that shining book at bookstore one day. I can’t remember how many days took me to finish that first book, but standing there is for sure. Time flies when I read them, defeating the moments when we use smartphones. :)

Second, these books opened a wonderland for me and lasted until now.

Imagination is the treasure that humans got. For me, without it I can’t imagine how I will live my life. The world in my mind is my last Eden. All the fantastic and absurd ideas helped and will help me for long long time. Magic world of HP donate a rather big part.

Third, the passion of reading the English version,helped me a lot at my language learning.

When I am old enough to talk with people how I manage it, and importantly I didn’t lose it even now, reading English novels gives one entry. I met HP when I was young and could read Chinese only, after knowing that is a English book,it makes me confused and kinda discomfort. Maybe it planted a seed of language in my mind, but when I got older I did reread the English series. Then I felt I prefer to read all origin version of books.

Entertainment and education together. 《Harry Potter》series benefit me during my young time. But still now, I take language as a tool, always the beauty is how you use it and paint a world to communicate.
