1、Now, there has been quite a bit of discussion in the local press about whether there would be enough room for the number of visitors we're hoping to attract, but the design is deceptive, and there have been rigorous checks about capacity.(C10 Test2 Par2第8句)

deceptive是deception的形容詞形式，表示帶有欺騙性的、誤導(dǎo)性的，這里為什么用deceptive而不用deceitful，其實(shí)是因?yàn)檫@兩者的意義有實(shí)質(zhì)上的差別：

deceptive/deception，這些常常用來形容物，表示某種事物的表現(xiàn)具有誤導(dǎo)性，欺騙性，詞性其實(shí)是中性的，就如這句話中deceptive實(shí)際表示的是這個(gè)設(shè)計(jì)具有誤導(dǎo)性，讓人感覺游泳池很小，實(shí)際上不是。

而deceit/deceitful，是狡詐，欺詐，欺騙，主語一般都是人，表示人的品行不斷，主觀故意來騙取不當(dāng)利益。是一個(gè)完全的貶義詞。

opening date 開業(yè)日，開放日，如果是要說明具體的幾月幾日開放，直接把日期放在前面，就像這句話中的June 15th opening date.

3、We have engaged award-winning actress Coral White to declare the pool open, and there'll be drinks and snacks available at the poolside.(C10 Test2 Par2第11句)

我以前知道engage可以表示訂婚，交戰(zhàn)，或者參與從事什么工作，今天跟讀這句話發(fā)現(xiàn)engage還可以表示邀請某人加入，或者雇傭，聘用某人的意思
