Day 1 Persevere 堅(jiān)持不懈
Angela Lee Duckworth :Grit: The power of passion and perseverance
Grit:The Porwer of passion and perseverance
The video is about that leaving a high-flying job in consulting, Angela Lee Duckworth took a job teaching math to seventh graders in a New York public school. She quickly realized that IQ wasn't the only thing separating the successful students from those who struggled. Here, she explains her theory of "grit" as a predictor of success.-Ted
How can we success? In my opinion,First, you need to choice what you like or what's the long term goal whatever is your study or work. Then work harder, and harder to achieve the goal.To keep the your motivation high and help you to overcome any obstacles based on how deep understanding of yourself.
I like she said that " They're much more likely to preserve when they fail, because they don't believe that failure is a permanent condition."
That's the PERSEVERE
Carol Dweck: The power of believing that you can improve
The power of believing that you can improve
Carol Dweck researches “growth mindset” — the idea that we can grow our brain's capacity to learn and to solve problems. In this talk, she describes two ways to think about a problem that’s slightly too hard for you to solve. Are you not smart enough to solve it … or have you just not solved it yet? A great introduction to this influential field.-Ted
From that video, I learn a beautiful work "Yet". Encouraging is important for someone's improve. When I have the challenge and I know I almost failed, I will talk to myself that I just not successful yet, just keep going, you almost touch it. Great, ?That's an excellent way to motivate myself and keep my focus.
That's the PASSION
Grit =Passion + Persevere
