Blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is an indicator of alcoholism used for legal or medical purposes. The usual unit of measure is the mass or volume of alcohol in a unit volume of blood. For example, a BAC of 0.10% in North America means 0.10 g of alcohol per deciliter of blood.
