From the essay, I knew that there were several people obsessed with selfie and even somebody want cosmetic doctor to do plastic surgery for themselves. According to the data of authority, the person seeking surgery was increased 13% in 2017, so The Guardian call it was dysmorphia.
But as far as I am concerned, I think this point of view is one-sided. Firstly, I think the data of the authority concluded the developed country like the United Kingdom, and the developing countries like China and India are not in this sample, so I think these data is not objective. Secondly, there were a report in the US medical journal JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery about the illness like BDD. I think the discuss is also biased because in China people around me are searching means to be rich, and selfie is only a method to make money for online celebrity or someone want to sell commodity.
But the words of Dr Wassim are thought-provoking. He thinks government should issue some progress in this profession.?
