1. 認(rèn)識(shí)這個(gè)詞（基礎(chǔ)篇）
詞：factor in
英英釋義：include something as a relevant element when making a decision

2. 體會(huì)這個(gè)詞 （進(jìn)階篇）
“factor”作為名詞表示“因素”，作動(dòng)詞它有一個(gè)很靈活的動(dòng)詞短語(yǔ)：factor (something) in，意思是“將......考慮進(jìn)去”。
當(dāng)我們想表示“考慮到...”時(shí)，我們可能會(huì)立刻想到 “take something into account” “take something into consideration”，這時(shí)候我們其實(shí)也可以用 factor something in。來(lái)看幾個(gè)例子。
在北上這樣的城市月收入 1.5 萬(wàn)元看似是高薪，但如果考慮到租房和其他生活成本，就沒(méi)那么多了。就可以說(shuō)：

在這個(gè)情景下，我們想表示“考慮到當(dāng)時(shí)的緊急情形，機(jī)長(zhǎng)的做法合理且明智的”這層意思時(shí)，就可以說(shuō)：
Once you factor in the specific circumstances, you will appreciate how heroic the pilot's action was. （注意當(dāng) factor something in 中的'something'較長(zhǎng)時(shí)，我們可以把它放到后面，變成 factor in something。）
評(píng)價(jià)學(xué)生的學(xué)術(shù)表現(xiàn)不能只看絕對(duì)的成績(jī)，而應(yīng)該考慮到學(xué)生的社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)條件，就可以這么說(shuō)：
Students who are considered underachievers are actually overachievers once their socioeconomic statuses are factored in.
