說起日本，不知諸位在腦海里的第一印象會是什麼。但其實(shí)真正的日本是怎麼樣的呢？從一個不起眼的亞洲島國，經(jīng)由明治維新迅速崛起，在對抗帝國主義的同時也讓自身成為了帝國主義。本文為香港中文大學(xué)社會學(xué)碩士課程的一個微型論文，礙於教授訂立的字?jǐn)?shù)限制，故以提綱式寫法扼要講述日本從明治維新至戰(zhàn)前的發(fā)展軌跡，為疏導(dǎo)性閱讀文章。本文重點(diǎn)是在於正文以下的腳註，引導(dǎo)閱讀文章後面的參考文獻(xiàn)以幫助更系統(tǒng)地了解日本這個國家。為方便閱讀，文章段落的腳註就近附在下方，讀者不必來回前後閱讀。
