Concentration

Since I have been particularly busy lately, I need to improve my concentration to increase my productivity. Here are some actions I took today.

Put my phone in the dining room, far away from my room so I cannot reach it whenever I get bored. Setting a timer of one hour for each session allowed me to focus on my work for 1 hour per session. Take a good break after an hour. Reward me generously by taking a nap, eating some fruit, or watching some videos for relaxation and refreshment.

If someone came to disturb me, I politely told them that I would come to them first thing when I finished my work. I was treated with respect and full understanding by them.

The biggest distractor is my cell phone. Since I had it well under control, my efficiency was pretty high today.


So much for today. I have gotten into the habit of not eating anything after 5 p.m., which turns out to be no problem at all.
