You can choose which neighborhood you live in, which school you send them to, which extracurricular activities you expose them to, and more… and these environments are where they meet their peers.
To put it in a simple sentence:

If you want your kids to find certain habits attractive, put them in environments and groups where their peers will also be doing those habits. Or, as I put it in Atomic Habits: Join a group where the desired behavior is the normal behavior.
