目前，美軍的機(jī)種代號(hào)主要有:A-攻擊機(jī)，B-轟炸機(jī)，C-運(yùn)輸機(jī)，E-電子設(shè)備機(jī)（包括雷達(dá)警戒、電子對(duì)抗、空中指揮和空中通信等），F(xiàn)-戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)，H-直升機(jī)，K-空中加油機(jī)，S-反潛機(jī)，R-偵察機(jī)等。使用序號(hào)采用阿拉伯?dāng)?shù)字，寫在機(jī)種代號(hào)之后，一般用來表示使用或設(shè)計(jì)的順序。如F-14表示設(shè)計(jì)代號(hào)為14的戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)，B-70表示設(shè)計(jì)代號(hào)為70的轟炸機(jī)。這些機(jī)種代號(hào)分別指什么呢？
A- attacker 攻擊機(jī)/強(qiáng)擊機(jī)
B- bomber 轟炸機(jī)
C- cargo plane 運(yùn)輸機(jī)
E- electronic plane電子設(shè)備機(jī)
F- fighter jet 戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)
H- helicopter 直升機(jī)
K- air refueling tanker空中加油機(jī)
S- anti-submarine plane 反潛機(jī)
R- reconnaissance plane偵察機(jī)
T- trainer 訓(xùn)練機(jī)
