Opening

After warmly welcome all the attendees,today’s Acting President Steve introduced our EF Phoenixes club in a veryprofessional way. Later, he encouraged not only the members, experienced or newly onboard, which are the reason why EF Phoenixes ran this good for ten years, but also the visitors to join us for the safe and encouraging atmosphere.

Then, Elle, today’s Toastmaster, started the meeting by introducing the topic “competition”. Competition is everywhere around us, not only on our toastmasters’ stage, but also in every corner of our daily life…

TTM Eva made a further explanation for today's topic. The reason why competition is everywhere is because of the rare resources. So if you want to win the game, you should try to grab the chance. "Just like TT chances".

Zac, "Do you like competition? Why?"

"Sure, I like competion because it's a good chance for self improvement." By calling back a piece of memory as a young boy, Zac realized that a competition is not for comparing with others but with ourselves, and compare with ourselves made self improvement.

Nancy, "What do you want to say to the contesters?"

Sharing two personal stories in career with different ends, one as freshman the other at present, Nancy reflect the relation between competitors and gave her suggestion "Treat your competitors as friends instead of enermies, which will make both of you make further improvement."

Due to the spring contest, we did not havemuch attendees as usual. But thanks to our supporting roles, the meeting was stillheld with high efficiency and quality.
