Tips on Becoming a Running Novelist

Reflections

In this chapter, Muraki San introduces us how he became a novelist and a runner.I learned some tips from him.

1.Running as well as Writing are drudges. Sometimes you just feel lethargic and get tired of it. it’s human natural. But you have to set a rule for your life. It’s not about that you are a stubborn person or it will make your life boring. It helps you to control your life and do want to want to do and achieve it eventually. So set a rule for your life and never come back. When you really get tired of it, think about the life you want and the goal you want to achieve. And always keep alert or you will be the one who lost your own life.

2.Running And Writing suit his character and he don’t like do the things that is force by others. I think we are quite resemble at this. So maybe that’s why I hate my school so much. But on the other hand, you must have the faith to lead your own life.

3.Be strong and patient.

4.I’m struck by how, except when you’re young, you really need to prioritize in life, figuring out in what order you should divide up your time and energy. If you don’t get that sort of system set by a certain age, you’ll lack focus and your life will be out of balance.

WORDS

1.white-collar household

Set up household

白領,成家立業(yè)

I was raised in a white-collar household.

2.keep my head above water

Up till then, it had been a question of sheer survival, of keeping my head above water, and I didn’t have room to think of anything else.

This is the time that we have to keep our heads above the water so we might survive.

3.out of the blue

And pretty much out of the blue I got the idea to write a novel.

without warning : in a surprising or unexpected way

The idea of being a novelist is not out of the blue.

4.pinpoint

I can pinpoint the exact moment when I first thought I could write a novel.

If you pinpoint the cause of something, you discover or explain the cause exactly.

I can pinpoint the date when you first say you like me.
