一．定語(yǔ)從句相關(guān)概念

(一). 定語(yǔ)從句：在句子中起定語(yǔ)作用，修飾一個(gè)名詞或代詞，有時(shí)可修飾一個(gè)句子

(二). 先行詞：被定語(yǔ)從句修飾的詞

(三). 關(guān)系詞：引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句的詞

二．關(guān)系代詞的用法

? (一)? that 可以修飾人或事。作定語(yǔ)從句中可指代主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)，當(dāng)賓語(yǔ)時(shí)可以省略,但作為主語(yǔ)時(shí)不可以省略。? ? ? ?

1）Is this museum the one （ that） some USA friends visited yesterday? (that作賓語(yǔ)可以省略)

2）? The man that is standing there is my English teacher.

? （作主語(yǔ)不可省略）

（二）which可以修飾事物，在定語(yǔ)從句中作主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)，作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)可以省略

1）Tom bought a new car which made it easy for him to travel around the city.

2）This is the film (which) I like most.

（三）who 指人在定語(yǔ)從句中充當(dāng)主語(yǔ)或賓語(yǔ)（作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)可以省略）

1）? That is the girl who came to see you this morning.

2） The man (who) I saw in the supermarket yesterday was very handsome.

（四）whom 指代人, 在定語(yǔ)從句中充當(dāng)賓語(yǔ)（作賓語(yǔ)時(shí)可以省略）

I've become good friends with the students (whom) I met in the English speech contest.

（五）whose 指代人和事物，表示一種所屬關(guān)系。

? ? 1）The man whose name is Corrie is really proud of his son.

? ? 2）Corrie lives in the house whose windows are beautiful.

二．關(guān)系副詞的用法

（一）when指時(shí)間，在定語(yǔ)從句中作時(shí)間狀語(yǔ)。

? ? 1）I still remember the day when I first came to Maldives.

? ? 2）I’ll never forget the day when I joined the army.

(二) where指地點(diǎn)，在定語(yǔ)從句中作地點(diǎn)狀語(yǔ)。

? ? 1）The factory where his father works is in the west of the city.

? ? 2）This is the house where I lived two years ago.

（三）why指原因,在定語(yǔ)從句中作原因狀語(yǔ)。

? 1）That is the reason why I did the job.

? 2）This was the reason why we refused her invitation.
