“Now I think it’s one of the most useless questions an adult can ask a child—What do you want to be when you grow up? As if growing up is finite. As if at some point you become something and that’s the end.”

“If you don’t get out there and define yourself, you’ll be quickly and inaccurately defined by others.”

高四的時(shí)候，普林斯頓大學(xué)的升學(xué)顧問(wèn)否定米歇爾，認(rèn)為她不是上普林斯頓大學(xué)的料是，米歇爾覺(jué)得:失敗是一種感覺(jué)，很久后才會(huì)變成實(shí)際的結(jié)果。對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，這就是她種下的一粒種子，在我還沒(méi)有嘗試努力前，就暗示我會(huì)失敗。米歇爾相信，沒(méi)有任何一個(gè)人可以定義她自己。方法可以調(diào)整，目標(biāo)很堅(jiān)定。她還分享到，在她認(rèn)識(shí)的各行各業(yè)的人中，所有人都曾甚至正在被人質(zhì)疑，但是他們依賴相信他們的人，并不懈的向目標(biāo)挺近。
