Around 4:14 pm ET at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket carried the Bangabandhu Satellite-1 into orbit, which can provide telecom services. After the launch, the first-stage booster detached and guided itself safely back to Earth, and it can be flown and used once again on a future mission. This is the first time ever that SpaceX has ever sent the same rocket to space twice. According to the company the Block 5 variant can be reused about 10 times and can be refurbished, which reduced the cost. Even though the trip can carry human, NASA says that Block 5 need to complete 7 successful flights before it allows humans on board. In 2014, NASA had tapped SpaceX and Boeing to develop human-rated rockets and capsules, in which the company estimates the it could conduct the first test flight in November. The liftoff of Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket is the last major upgrade of SpaceX workhorse rocket, because the CEO, Elon Musk, decided that the company will soon focus all of its engineering talent on the BFR Mars Rocket.
