今天上午上課我用PPT介紹杭州，其中就講到東坡肉的由來。蘇東坡在杭州做官時，組織民工在西湖筑了一道堤。能使四周的田地不怕澇，不愁旱．莊稼連年豐收。百姓們?yōu)榱烁兄x他，送豬肉給他，而他卻把豬肉燒好后又給老百姓們送去。他與老百姓之摯友。"... and down below I can associate with the poor folks."

這本書叫The Gay Genius, gay: a gay person is fun to be with because they are lively and cheerful. 在自序中林語堂寫道，他寫蘇東坡只是以此為樂而已，蘇東坡的讀者以閱讀他的作品為樂，那我們讀林語堂的The Gay Genius就是從通過林語堂對蘇東坡描寫中來體會蘇東坡的作品給讀者帶來的閱讀之樂。因為蘇東坡寫作也是為了自得其樂，別無理由，字字出自他的真純。非常期待接下來蘇東坡的生活。
