Reason:

1. In the reality, there are too much options for making the choices
2. Not all the choices are free to choose, there are some constraints in choosing the options, such as income constraints, ability, environment and etc.
3. People may usually regret in chosen choice even it is the good decision because they feel worse from choosing.
4. The opportunity cost is another factor that how the way we value things influence the choices
5. At common, people believe that more options means the things are more attractive so that their expectation goes up
6. low expectation let yourself feeling better after making decision from the choice
7. it doesn't mean that more choices mean good choices

• escalation of expectation
• self-blame
